As today is National Fitness Day I thought I'd share an article I came across that explains why physical activity not only keeps our children fit it is also beneficial to their mental health. I've always encouraged Kitty to take exercise whether that's walking to school or swimming from a very early age - an important life skill in my view. She's now joined a local netball club with some of her friends. Great exercise and learning the social benefits of team sport.
